The Airmail is a refreshing, bubbly cocktail made with Rum, Lime Juice, Honey Syrup, and Champagne. It combines the smoothness of rum with the bright tang of lime and the effervescence of sparkling wine, creating a crisp and lively drink that’s perfect for any celebration.
This cocktail is thought to have originated in the 1930s, and its name is a nod to the early days of airmail service between Cuba and Miami.
For easy cocktail-making, we've included our Cheeky Honey Syrup and 100% Lime Juice. Simply add your favorite rum and top with Champagne for the perfect Airmail.

To Make One Cocktail
- 1.5 oz Aged Cuban or Puerto Rican Rum
- 0.5 oz Cheeky Honey Syrup
- 0.75 oz Cheeky 100% Lime Juice
- Top with Champagne (or sparkling wine)
Add Rum, Honey Syrup, and Lime Juice to a shaker with ice. Shake for 10-15 seconds, then strain into a coupe or champagne flute. Top with Champagne, and garnish with a lime wheel or twist.
To Make One Batch (5-6 Cocktails) in a Pitcher or Ball Jar (no tools required)
- 8-9 oz Rum
- 2.5-3 oz Cheeky Honey Syrup
- 4.5 oz Cheeky 100% Lime Juice
- 12-15 oz Champagne (or sparkling wine)
Add Rum, Honey Syrup, and Lime Juice to a pitcher or 32 oz Ball Jar. Stir to combine, then pour into individual glasses, filling each halfway. Top with Champagne and garnish as desired.
